WRITTEN PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
Begin with a magic circle.
Round 1: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), dc 15 into the magic ring, join with sc to
3rd ch of the first stitch.
Round 2: {ch3 (counts as 1st dc), dc 2 and close (counts as first 3dc cluster), ch 1}, *3dc cluster into the stitch in round 1, chain 1 )* 15 times , join with sc to 3rd ch of the first stitch.
Below you can see the steps I used to create the 3dc cluster
At the end of the round you will have a circle like this, don’t worry that it raised up a bit, this resolves itself in the next 2 rounds.
Round 3: {ch3 (counts as 1st dc), dc 3 and close (counts as 1st dc4tog), chain 2}, * dc4tog into the stitches below, chain 2 * repeat 15 times, join with sc to 3rd ch of the first stitch.
Here are a few snapshots if you need help with dc4tog.
Here you can see how after the chain 2 you begin the first dc of the dc4tog in the same spot as the last dc of the previous dc4tog.
At the end of the third round your circle should look like this.
Round 4: {ch2 (counts as 1st hdc), hdc 2 times into the 2 ch space of the round before, ch1}, dc 3 times into next 2 chain space then ch1, { in this next 2ch space we are going to make a corner, tr 3 times, ch3, tr 3 times, ch 1, dc 3 times, ch1, hdc 3 times, ch1, dc 3 times, ch1, tr 3 times, ch3, tr 3 times, ch 1(corner again), repeat this pattern around.
