dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
dc2tog – double crochet 2 together
tr2tog – treble crochet 2 together
Crochet Written Pattern
Chain 4 and join.
Round 1: Chain 2 (counts as 1st sc), 7 sc around and slip stitch closed.
Round 2: Join with new color in any sc from the pervious round, chain 3 ( counts as 1st dc), 4 dc into the same space, chain 4, * then skip a sc space from the previous round and 5 dc into the following sc space, chain 4, * rep from * to *, slip stitch closed.
Round 3: Join a new color to the first dc of any 5 dc set from the previous round. Chain 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 treble crochet increase in the next dc from the previous round, 3 double treble increase in the next stitch, 2 treble crochet increase in the next stitch, dc in the next stitch, chain 4, front post dc into the sc from round 1, chain 4, * (dc into the first dc of the next 5 dc set, 2 treble crochet increase in the next dc from the previous round, 3 double treble increase in the next stitch, 2 treble crochet increase in the next stitch, dc in the next stitch, chain 4, front post dc into the sc from round 1, chain 4) *, rep from * to * and slip stitch closed.
Round 4: Join new color in the 2nd double treble of the previous round, chain 3 ( counts as 1st dc of dc2 tog), dc into the same stitch, chain 2, treble crochet 2 together in the same stitch, chain 2, dc2tog (this is the corner of the square), chain 6, dc2tog joining the chain 4 spaces from the previous round, chain 6, * dc2tog, chain 2, tr2tog,chain 2, dc2tog , chain 6, dc2tog joining the top of the chain 4’s from the previous round, chain 6*, rep from * to * and slip stitch closed.
Round 5: Chain 1 (counts as 1st sc), then we do a corner which is 2 sc in the chain 2 space, 3 sc in the top of the tr2tog of the previous round, 2sc in the chain 2 space and then sc in top of the dc2tog of the previous round, ( this is your corner) then 6 sc in the 6 chain space, 2 sc in the dc2tog below and 6sc in the 6 chain space until you reach another corner and repeat. Slip stitch round closed.
Round 6: Chain 1 (counts as 1st sc), then chain 3 and skip 2 sc’s from the round below and sc into the next one. (In the corner chain 4, skip one sc from round below and sc on the next one, then continue to chain 3, and skip 2 sc’s from the round below and sc into the next one and continue until you reach the next corner) repeat this until you complete the round.
