this is the 3rd time I have tried to send this. any way I can receive the pattern or do I have to use the download thing? sure is pretty. would appreciate your help on this thank you
Hi the pattern is just the image as it is, I put up patterns that inspire me so I only have them as they are shown. You can save the image to your computer and print it from there. To save right click on the image and go to save as.
no written pattern just the diagram: you can read the diagram easily with the link I provided above that leads to the explanation of symbols.
Symbol crochet patterns are very easy once you learn them, with this one you start with a ring, then chain 3 (represented by the little circles), then 2dc (represented by the cross symbol), chain 3, 4dc, ch 3, 4dc, ch3, 4dc, ch3, 1dc and connect to the first ch3 you created and there we have the first round. Next round you would be working on the petals, looks like you ch1 then 4dc, ch1, 4dc in the last rounds ch3, single crochet in between the previous rounds 4dc and you continue this all the way around etc
The pattern diagram above is not the same as the pictured flower square. I’ve just made the square from the diagram and it’s completely different! I will see if I can draw a diagram for the one above with written instructions 😉
Yes it is, I had removed the post and received countless emails to put it back up. Thankyou so much Toni for helping to figure this square out, it is so beautiful!
Thank you Crochet Kingdom for the inspirational patterns. I like your color choice with the four-leaf lace crochet. Very pretty. Thanks also for the diagrams.
I followed this chart to make the four petal flower. I really like the pattern and would live to make an afghan. However my square does not look like yours. Is the diagram correct? Please help.
I have been looking everywhere for the original and this is the only diagram that comes up. I have removed this post but was emailed to put it back up. Possibly someone can help work it out.
I’ve made it too following the diagram and it isn’t the one pictured. So you are right. I am going to see if I can work out the one pictured and will post it here 🙂
The original photos come from a Japanese website http://nah003.blog47.fc2.com/blog-date-20130421.html There are unfortunately no instructions. However so far I have cracked the flower part, I will add the square when I get around to it…
These are in US terms. Magic circle, sc12 into circle. Join with ss (in new colour) *Ch3, tr into same stitch. 2tr into next stitch, ch3, ss into same st (1 petal complete) Ss into next 2 st** then repeat from * to ** around. Change colour again on last ss of round. *Ch3, 1dc around ch3 from previous round. 2tr in next st, 3tr in next st, 2tr in next st, 1dc around last ch3 from previous round, ss in next st** then repeat from * to ** around and fasten off. Flower complete.
Hope that helps anyone! I only wanted the flower part of the design anyway 😉
Charted patterns are the best! They’re much better than written patterns and easy to learn. If you take the time to learn the symbols, you will open yourself up to a whole new world of crochet. They are essentially error free, unlike most written patterns I’ve tried to use which is very, very frustrating. Symbols are universal, and you will be able to crochet beautiful items from other countries that you simply cannot find here in the U.S.
Is there a written pattern for lace crochet square with 4 petal flower please
many patterns on the site are diagrams, you can learn about them here: http://www.crochetkingdom.com/crochet-stitch-illustrated-tutorials/
What happened to written instruction for the old eyes. Can’t read these.
Hi Diane,
